Accessibility

This page says what was actually tested and what was not. It does not claim conformance to WCAG at any level, because no audit with assistive technology and no audit by a disabled user has been done. A statement claiming a conformance level that has not been verified is a written representation that can be used against whoever published it, which is worse than having no statement.

Tested, and passing

• Contrast, measured against the surface each colour actually sits on. 36 pairs across the light and dark palettes: body text at or above 4.5:1, interactive control borders and meaning-carrying graphics at or above 3:1. The lowest passing text pair is 5.09:1 and the lowest control boundary is 5.51:1.
• One exemption, stated rather than hidden. The hairline used for dividers and card outlines measures 1.4:1. WCAG 1.4.11 covers interactive controls and graphics needed to understand content; a line between two stacked cards is neither. An automated guard fails the build if that colour is ever applied to a control, so the exemption cannot widen quietly.
• Every form field has a real <label>. The register menu is labelled visibly; the editor is labelled for screen readers. A placeholder is not treated as a label anywhere.
• A skip link that moves focus, not just the viewport. Confirmed: the link becomes the focused element, and the target carries tabindex="-1" so focus actually lands there rather than the viewport merely scrolling. It keeps its focus ring on arrival.
• A visible focus ring on everything focusable, at 3px with an offset, driven by :focus-visible so it appears for keyboard use and not on mouse clicks. Nothing in the stylesheet sets outline: none.
• Results are announced, not only displayed. The findings panel updates while the caret stays in the editor, so a screen reader would otherwise get no signal that anything changed. Scores and finding counts go to a polite live region.
• The page declares its language, respects prefers-reduced-motion, and renders in the reader's light or dark preference.
• Text reflows to a single column below 900px, and the editor can be resized vertically.

Not tested

• No screen reader has been used on this site. Not VoiceOver, not NVDA, not JAWS. The live region and labels are written to the spec and have not been heard.
• No disabled user has reviewed it.
• Voice control, switch access and screen magnification are untested.
• 400% zoom and 320px viewports have not been checked against WCAG 1.4.10 reflow.
• The findings list can grow long on a bad document. Whether that is navigable rather than merely reachable has not been evaluated.
• The skip link becoming VISIBLE on focus is unverified. The CSS rule that reveals it is present and correct, and the link does take focus — but a browser only paints :focus styling while the document itself has focus, and the automated browser used for testing never gives it that. So the reveal was reasoned about, not seen.
• No automated axe or Lighthouse run. The checks above were made deliberately, one at a time, rather than by a scanner.

If something is unusable

This is a small tool with no support desk. If a part of it does not work for you, the source is the fastest route to a fix — the whole checker is a handful of plain files with no build framework, and the accessibility choices above are commented in place with the reasoning.
